I am 49 as of this writing. All my life, people have been telling me that a good employee keeps work and personal life separate.
Logically, this says to me that a good employER also keeps work and personal life separate. Including the personal lives of their employees.
So if I’ve applied to work for you and you are here to dig up dirt on me, consider my application withdrawn and tell me you hired someone else. Same deal if you looked at my social media for similar reasons. And if you hire me anyway and I find out later that you were here, that’s an insta-quit. It’s bad enough when people in my personal life do this — never using online or social media to interact with me like a normal person, just looking for excuses to ruin my life. I’m not even a bad guy. You just don’t like what I have to say. There is a difference, even if you don’t want to admit it.
So I’ve had it. So we will not be playing this game. So tell me you went with some other candidate, and fuck off forever. Thanks in advance.
